Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all consultations and treatments provided by La Roue Nurse-led Aesthetics (“the Clinic”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to any person receiving a consultation or treatment (“you”, “your”, “the client”). By booking a consultation or treatment with us, you confirm that you accept these Terms.
1. About Us
La Roue Nurse-led Aesthetics is a nurse-led aesthetic practice based in Northamptonshire, England. All treatments involving prescription-only medicines are administered by a fully qualified, registered and insured nurse under a named patient prescription issued by an appropriately qualified and registered prescriber, following an individual consultation and clinical assessment.
La Roue Nurse-led Aesthetics provides cosmetic treatments only and does not provide NHS or general medical services. Our treatments are delivered by a registered nurse practising within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code and all prescription-only medicines are prescribed following an individual clinical assessment by an appropriately qualified independent prescriber.
2. Consultation & Prescribing
- A consultation is required before any prescription-only treatment (including anti-wrinkle injections) can be carried out.
- Prescription-only medicines will only be administered following an individual, face-to-face assessment by a registered prescriber and a valid, current prescription issued for you as a named individual. No treatment will be given without this in place.
- We reserve the right to decline or postpone any treatment, at any stage, where it is not considered clinically appropriate or safe to proceed, including after consultation, regardless of any prior booking. Treatment cannot be guaranteed until the prescriber has confirmed it is clinically appropriate to proceed.
- Prescriptions are issued for you as a named individual only. They are non-transferable and cannot be used for, or applied to, any other person under any circumstances.
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years of age or older to receive any cosmetic injectable treatment. Proof of age (photographic ID) may be requested, and treatment will be declined if this cannot be provided or if we have reason to believe you are under 18.
- It is a criminal offence under the Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Act 2021 to administer these treatments for cosmetic purposes to a person under 18 in England, and we will not do so under any circumstances.
- Where relevant to the treatment sought, you confirm that you are not pregnant or breastfeeding at the time of treatment, and you agree to inform us immediately if this changes.
4. Medical History & Accuracy of Information
- You must provide full, accurate, and up-to-date medical history, and disclose all relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, and previous reactions to treatment.
- We rely on the information you provide to assess your suitability for treatment. We cannot accept responsibility for any adverse outcome arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or withheld information.
- You must inform us of any change to your health, medication, or circumstances between booking and your appointment.
5. Consent
- Treatment will only be carried out once you have given informed, voluntary consent, having had the opportunity to ask questions and consider the risks, benefits, alternatives, and expected outcomes.
- You may withdraw your consent at any point before or during treatment.
- A cooling-off period may be offered or required between your consultation and treatment; this will be discussed with you at your consultation.
6. Bookings, Deposits & Payment
- A deposit or consultation fee may be required to secure your appointment, as set out in our current price list. This is redeemable against treatment booked on the day, unless otherwise stated.
- Full payment for treatment is due on the day of treatment, unless otherwise agreed with us in writing.
- Prices are as set out in our current price list and are subject to change; the price confirmed to you at the time of booking or consultation is the price that will apply.
7. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Non-Attendance
- We request at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Cancellations made with less notice than this, or failure to attend without notice (a “no-show”), will result in loss of any deposit or booking fee paid, and/or a cancellation charge.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment — for example, due to practitioner or prescriber illness, or a newly identified contraindication — we will give you as much notice as possible, and any deposit paid will, at your choice, be transferred to your rebooked appointment or refunded in full.
8. Late Arrival
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your treatment, reschedule your appointment, or treat this as a late cancellation under Section 7, and your deposit or booking fee may be forfeited as a result. We will always do our best to accommodate you, but your original appointment time cannot be guaranteed beyond this point.
9. Right to Refuse Treatment
We may refuse or decline to proceed with treatment, at any stage — including on the day of your appointment — where we reasonably believe it is not appropriate or safe to do so. This includes, but is not limited to, circumstances where:
- Treatment is not considered clinically appropriate for you;
- You appear to have unrealistic expectations of the likely outcome;
- You appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- You behave in an abusive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate manner towards our staff;
- We have a safeguarding concern; or
- You have not followed clinical advice given to you, including pre-treatment or aftercare instructions.
Where treatment is declined or stopped for reasons other than being no longer clinically appropriate, any deposit or fee paid may not be refunded, at our discretion, particularly where costs or time have already been incurred.
10. Children & Chaperones
For safeguarding and confidentiality reasons, children should not attend consultations or treatment appointments unless this has been agreed with us in advance.
- Only essential companions are permitted in the treatment room; we may ask any other companion to wait in the reception area.
- A chaperone can be arranged on request — please let us know in advance if you would like this.
11. Treatment Outcomes
- Aesthetic treatments cannot guarantee a specific or exact outcome. Results vary between individuals depending on factors including anatomy, skin condition, lifestyle, and how your body responds to and metabolises the product used.
- Many aesthetic treatments require maintenance treatments to sustain results, and longevity will vary between individuals.
- Photographs of previous results shown to you are illustrative only and are not a guarantee of your individual outcome.
- Any concerns about your results should be raised at your follow-up review so they can be properly assessed.
12. Refunds
Due to the nature of medical aesthetic treatments, and because product is administered into your body at the time of treatment, refunds cannot be offered once treatment has been administered.
- We do not offer refunds because you have changed your mind after treatment, or because you are unhappy with a result that falls within the normal, expected range of variation.
- If you have concerns about your results, please contact us so these can be properly assessed at a review appointment; where clinically appropriate, a correction or adjustment may be offered (see Section 13, Aftercare & Follow-Up Reviews).
- This section does not affect your statutory rights.
13. Aftercare & Follow-Up Reviews
- You will be given verbal and written aftercare advice following treatment, which you must follow carefully to reduce the risk of complications and to support your results.
- We cannot be held responsible for outcomes affected by a failure to follow aftercare advice.
- A complimentary follow-up review is offered 2 weeks after anti-wrinkle treatment; please contact us to arrange this within the stated window, as reviews requested outside this period may not be complimentary.
- Where clinically appropriate, minor adjustments identified at your complimentary review may be carried out at no additional charge. Additional product beyond what is clinically necessary to correct the original treatment, or any change to your treatment plan, will incur an additional charge.
- Review appointments are intended to assess the outcome of your original treatment. Requests to alter the agreed treatment plan or administer additional product beyond what is clinically indicated will be treated as a new treatment and charged accordingly.
- No routine follow-up review is offered for dermal filler treatment unless otherwise agreed; please contact us if you have any concerns.
14. Complications & Adverse Reactions
- Mild bruising, swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection site is common and normal after treatment, and usually settles within a few days.
- If you experience any unexpected reaction, complication, or concern following treatment, contact us as soon as possible using the details provided at your consultation.
- In a medical emergency, seek immediate medical attention (call 999 or attend A&E) and inform us as soon as practicable afterwards.
- We maintain appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance and follow recognised protocols for managing complications, including access to appropriate reversal agents for dermal filler where clinically indicated. The use of hyaluronidase (filler dissolving treatment) is itself a prescription-only medicine and will only be administered following an individual clinical assessment where clinically indicated.
15. Photography
- You agree to clinical photographs being taken before, during, and after treatment for your clinical record and to assess and monitor your results.
- Photographs will only be used for training or marketing purposes with your separate, explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time. This will not affect retention of images in your clinical record, which we are required to keep.
16. Data Protection
- We process your personal and medical information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Your information is held securely and confidentially, used only to provide your care, and is not shared with third parties except where required by law, for your safety, or with your explicit consent.
- Further details of how we handle your data are available in our Privacy Policy.
- We are a registered data controller with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number: ZC192688.
17. Complaints
- If you are unhappy with any aspect of your consultation, treatment, or care, please contact us directly in the first instance so we can address your concerns.
- Complaints can be submitted by email, phone, or in writing using the contact details in Section 23. We aim to acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and to respond in full within 10 working days.
- If you remain dissatisfied after our complaints procedure has concluded, you may seek independent advice or raise concerns with the Nursing and Midwifery Council where they relate to professional conduct.
18. Liability
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.
- Subject to the above, we accept no liability for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes arising from factors outside our reasonable control, including inaccurate information provided by you or failure to follow aftercare advice.
19. Force Majeure
We will not be responsible for any failure or delay in providing treatment where this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, severe weather, power or system failures, supplier or product shortages, or other emergencies. Where this occurs, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and offer to reschedule your appointment.
20. Intellectual Property
Any materials we provide to you, including aftercare guides, website content, and other resources, remain our intellectual property (or that of our licensors) and are provided for your personal use only. They may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without our prior consent.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your consultation or treatment will apply.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
